SCS Participates in 20th Annual Asia Seafood Exhibition

Supply Chain Solutions’ China team members recently partnered with Vision Logistics, LTD to promote seafood import and export services at Asia’s Largest Seafood event, held in the Qingdao International Expo Center. “Asia’s premier seafood event,” with an estimated attendance of 25,000 visitors from 100 countries provides opportunity for North American suppliers to meet Chinese buyers. In recent years, Canadian lobster and cold-water shrimp are examples of seafood exports that have increased in popularity among Chinese consumers.

According to Lashan Abbey, Supply Chain Solutions’ Asian Managing Director, “because SCS has offices in the US and China,” partnering with Vision Logistics is a natural fit, “since they import and export a lot of seafood everywhere except from the US to China."

The team was accompanied by Mr. Wong, senior China Customs, Inspection, and Quarantine (CIQ) Officer.  Wong states, “We have been working with SCS for many years and their professional Supply Chain team know what our processes are and what exactly we are looking for to clear shipments as soon as possible.”

Abbey affirms, “through our relationship with Chinese CIQ, we are dedicated to helping foreign food suppliers and buyers troubleshoot and expeditiously clear any issues with regard to importing food products into China.”
