Vista Global Logistics joins the SCS family

Vista excels in a variety of logistics services, including import/export, air/sea shipping, freight forwarding and several others. Its technology is also first-rate, particularly in the area of supply chain visibility, where we believe it complements ours extremely well.

Jeffrey Ozburn is also an excellent addition to SCS. He has been a leader and innovator within global logistics for more than 30 years. In addition to his service as president and CEO of Vista, he is an accomplished forwarder, NVOCC and customs broker. Jeffrey has extensive experience in every facet of logistics including software development, air freight, NVOCC and LCL consolidation programs, and customs brokerage. He has created and managed international and domestic distribution programs for large corporations such as Esprit, Hallmark Cards, Enesco, Toro and Bausch & Lomb.

In 1982, Jeffrey started Rical Express Chicago with his father. It quickly became the largest air freight forwarder serving the emerging Asian market to the Midwest.
Jeffrey proceeded to gain diverse experience with AEI, a large multi-national forwarder, for whom he handled large corporate clients such as John Deere and Caterpillar, and was responsible for operational staff training and SOPs.

Returning to Rical Express, Jeffrey developed a new forwarding software, which improved efficiencies, while providing superior service and communication to Importers.
In 1992, Jeffrey started Freightforce Worldwide, which quickly became a leader in the Asian market, innovating “volume discounts” into air quotations, creating a new industry standard. He implemented a nationwide program for Hallmark Cards, handling distribution of their product into retail stores.
Jeffrey then started Worldtrans, a NVOCC, LCL and air freight consolidator and Customs broker, in addition he created and managed a shippers association. Worldtrans quickly became a multi-million-dollar company.

In 2010, Jeffrey created Vista Global Logistics, utilizing his years of experience to provide a higher level of service combined with cost efficiencies.
He now joins Supply Chain Solutions as vice president of sales and marketing, utilizing his years of experience and expertise to contribute to SCS and its clients’ continued growth and success.

In addition to Jeffrey and his team, we’re excited to welcome Vista’s wide array of clients into the SCS family. The combination of the two companies’ offerings will allow us to offer them even more value, and that’s a very exciting prospect.
